Lucent CBX 500; a reliable, versatile multiservice WAN switch
TXO supplies refurbished and preowned telecom network equipment from all OEMs. What’s more, we can conduct repairs, supply hard-to-find spares and offer extremely quick turnarounds worldwide. With over one million products in stock on our premises, we can supply the Lucent CBX 500, and other Lucent platforms and parts.
Platform details
The Lucent CBX 500 is a multiservice WAN switch that provides many of the core features needed by your carrier and service provider network – and it does it with impressive reliability and versatility.
This 5Gbps switch delivers support for IP switching, frame relay, 100Mbps Ethernet and ATM, and each CBX 500 supports 30 configurable IMA bundles.
The CBX 500 supports 96,000 cell buffers per I/O module and it can handle 1,000 VPNs per switch. Elsewhere you’ll find MPLS support to ensure that your data is always routed efficiently, alongside intelligent cell-rate monitoring and a quad-plane switch architecture.
Lucent’s custom silicon delivers 128K cell buffers and VNN packet routing for congestion management. The CBX 500 has VPC/PVC point-to-point, point-to-multipoint and MPT capabilities, and the feature set means your systems will benefit from delay mitigation, loss ratio limitations and VPN support – and custom options for your network’s connections.
The CBX 500 is a 16-slot switch unit that can be augmented with power supply redundancy, too, so you can ensure that your network will be protected in the event of power outages.
